The fun part about being a wedding and engagements photographer in Utah, is that there is SO much location variety right in our fingertips. Antelope Island is one of those spots that has a ton a variety. If you’re a mountain and a beach person, this is the spot you want to be at. Photography at Antelope Island is just a fun experience in general; you get to explore and feel like you’re in a completely different world.
One of my favorite perks of this location is that whether you’re available to shoot in the morning or the evening, you’ll get a beach front on either side facing the sun. These pictures were shot in the morning! Some people get hesitant about morning light vs golden hour, but you can get that yummy light in the morning just as much as you can in the evening. (It just usually requires you to wake up at unreasonable times in the morning.)
Antelope Island is huge. You can see some more of the island at this link. And since this is a state park, be prepared to bring your state park pass. (But I’ve got one so just bring your cute selves). And just a little PSA, even if you have a park pass, there is a two dollar toll fee. But seriously, worth it.
Choosing your photography to be at Antelope Island is a smart choice and one of the top locations I recommend. There is so much diversity for every couple, so your experience could be totally different than the last person depending on where you want to go! Between the reeds, the mountains, the rolling hills, the beach, and random buffalo roaming around, your pictures will be uniquely yours. It’s your adventure.
