Northern Utah has some beautiful Photo Studios for you to consider for your photoshoot! You may be wondering- why would I want to have a studio shoot? Well there are a few main reasons why we go the studio route rather than outdoors.
One reason is lighting. You may have a very strict schedule between your family or your fiance- and that means golden hour or morning shoots may not be an option for you. Studios are great because you can still ensure beautiful lighting in the middle of the day, knowing you don’t have to worry about any harsh lighting mid-day.
Privacy is another reason- specifically more targeted towards shoots such as boudoir or commercial shoots- an indoor or studio setting provides a more controlled and private environment.
Weather- An indoor or studio shoot eliminates the need to worry about the weather, which can be unpredictable and affect outdoor shoots. Especially during the winter, you could have a blizzard one day and a slushy, gray setting another day. For families with little ones, this is especially helpful when you don’t want young kids or babies to be out in the cold for too long. An indoor or studio setting provides a comfortable environment with temperature control, seating, and other amenities that may not be available outdoors.
Cleanliness- This pertains more towards brides who don’t want to get their dresses dirty before the big day! Studios will keep the dress cleaner and reduce any stress about your dress if you don’t have time to spot clean it or get to a dry cleaners before your wedding.
And lastly- studios are a vibe! There is quite a range of beautiful photo studios in Northern Utah! You may just fall in love with one after looking through this list below. If you do, make sure to contact me and we can plan out your studio session.
Cooley Collective Studios is located near Main Street in Brigham and has 3 gorgeous studios! My two favorites are the big white studio which offers lots of natural lights, couches, and bed, while the other Brick Studio has a fun kitchen set up for a mock in-home session.
Located on Center Street in Logan- this studio is great for an intimate setting and has a range of colored backdrops!
I’m a sucker for this studio. Located in Salt Lake City- the morning light it gets is amazing. With it’s giant white cement backdrop and couch setup on the other side of the studio- it has great variety and options for any shoot. Doing bridals here is just so fun and elegant.
I’ve shot here once and loved it! Located in River Heights near Logan, Utah, the outside of this studio looks like an old gas station. Inside you have giant garage doors, couches and a large area for any prop setups you might want to try out.
This studio is located in Salt Lake City and has a stunning minimalistic, yet bold and contemporary style to it. The website even includes a lighting schedule so you can decide the kind of lighting you want for your session!
