Crimson Trail Hike gave us such a beautiful evening for Rylee & Tanner’s first look/bridals. This will always be one of my favorite hikes. We were watching the weather really close right up until the minute we needed to leave to see if the thunderstorm would clear out. Luckily it did, and we had the trail almost all to ourselves (minus some people hiking back down, which I hope they weren’t hiking in the lightning storm?? to each their own I suppose). If there’s ever a lightning risk for your shoot, especially one on the edge of a cliff that’s high in elevation, we will reschedule. So happy it cleared up though!
Rylee and Tanner invited a team to come help them with their bridals of moms and a cousin to help with hair and makeup touches. The more the merrier! If you’re doing a hiking trail for bridals or an elopement, it definitely is a relief to have an extra person to help you with hair and makeup that you can trust. And they can cheer you on from the side which makes it a fun memory having people you love with you.
This is one of my favorite first look/bridals sessions- not only the incredible views from Crimson Trail Hike, but it was a special feeling getting to watch Rylee & Tanner see each other for the first time in their wedding attire. Getting to capture that emotion and expression of nervousness, excitement, love, and gratitude that was visible on their faces was just really sweet.
If you crave adventure, and love to make memories out in the great outdoors- let’s make the shoot reflect that! It’s truly a wonder to do shoots like this and the most memorable for me. It’s just going to be that more memorable for you. Contact me about your dream adventure here! And in case you were wondering, you don’t have to hike in your dress/suit. I have a pop up tent just for that;)
