Bastendorff Beach is located in Coos Bay, Oregon and is a lovely spot for a photoshoot! When we visited for this shoot, I had never been there before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Half an hour before we met, the skies were clear and then a storm front rolled in. Most mornings we spent on the Oregon coast were full of gray clouds and haze. But that’s not something to shy away from! These photos still came out beautifully, and the sky gave a gorgeous color palette for our photoshoot at Bastendorff Beach.
The beach is about 1.5 miles long, so there’s lots of room to get photos without worrying about editing out a bunch of people. While we were there, there was maybe one or two other groups there so we enjoyed having it pretty much to ourselves. The thing about the Oregon Coast, is you can get beautiful pictures almost anywhere, so you might as well pick a less touristy beach to avoid the crowds and have a more intimate, fun experience!
Some other beaches we loved that seemed a little more private was Secret Beach, Strawberry Hill, and Short Sand Beach which are all within a few hours north along the coast. Bastendorff Beach is a great for an engagement, bridal, family, or elopement photoshoot, along with these other options. If you’re wanting to plan a trip with me and come to Oregon, I am available for travel! I try to keep my travel fees as low as possible, because:
1. I love to travel.
2. I want to travel.
3. Making an experience out of your photoshoot will always be more memorable!
You can send me an inquiry at this contact link and we can discuss travel options and your dream photoshoot, whether it’s at Bastendorff Beach or anywhere:)
