The Salt Lake City Capital building is a perfect choice for bridals or for a civil elopement. This clean, white backdrop has both an elegant feel while being able to have the city in the background. This is a great choice for those who don’t want to risk getting their dress dirty from mountain scenery too!
The inside also has a beautiful, elegant feel. Visitors are recommended to enter in through the East doors, and inside you’ll find granite walls and a gorgeous staircase under the domed ceiling. This building is not only full of history, but is classy, timeless, and has a minimalist feel.
We took these photos a couple hours after sunrise, but the Salt Lake Capital is beautiful at sunset too! The shade the building provides makes it possible to get great lighting even a couple hours after sunrise. Makes it nice too for the makeup and hair artists that don’t have to wake up too early for great bridal photos.
Some other wedding venues can be found at this link! Some include:
-This is The Place Heritage Park
-Log Haven Restaurant
-Eaglewood Golf Course and Event Center
-Louland Falls
-Snowbird
-Millcreek Inn
-Cresent Hall
-and much more!
Or you know.. just elope wherever. I can help out with elopement location decisions if you’re not sure where to start!
Contact me if you’re interested in shooting here! The Salt Lake Capital is probably one of my top suggestions for a classy bridals. The granite walls, columns, and staircases are stunning by themselves, but putting yourself in front of them just increases the beauty:)

I am based in Logan, Utah so there is a small travel fee to book at this location, but if you’re wanting rolling green hills where I’m based, I know other local spots similar to this one.
