Crimson Trail up Logan Canyon is one of Cache Valley’s favorite trails- and makes a beautiful spot for bridals. Also known as the China Wall, it is most popular (and accessible) in the summer as the snow makes it more dangerous to hike this trail in the off season. Fall is my personal favorite because you can see the whole stretch of canyon with the fall leaves and it makes a killer sunset spot.
It took us about an hour to hike to this spot, and once there I popped open my changing tent and these two got ready for their shoot! People don’t always do hiking shoots for bridals because they worry about hair and makeup getting ruined, but if you feel like you get red in the face and sweaty when you hike- most people do.
We can take a needed break to cool down, and retouch any hair and makeup if needed! I love to do hair so I can definitely help with that. And if you need a sleek, cat eye eyeliner look, that’s up my alley too. You can always bring some backup help like a friend or a mom who can help out with hair and makeup as well.
If you want to create a more memorable experience, have a more private and unique location, and have more time to connect with your photographer before the wedding day, hiking for your shoot is a great option! Crimson Trail is such a great choice for bridals because it only takes an hour to get there and has stunning cliff side and mountain views. It also has given me some of my favorite sunsets.
But, know there’s more! Cache Valley is full of gorgeous hikes, and just Utah in general. If you want to inquire about an adventurous bridal shoot or elopement, inquire here! We can discuss other hikes and private locations that would be perfect for your perfect day.
