Bonneville Salt Flats- Sports Car Bridal Shoot

A lot of people shoot wedding photos at the Bonneville Salt Flats, but this one may be one of the edgiest, yet classiest looks I’ve seen.

1st. THIS JUMPSUIT. Wow. In another life, I would’ve worn a wedding jumpsuit. They’re literally the best. Dance to your heart’s content without stepping all over the gown, challenge tradition, and just look super cool.

2nd. The baby blue suit. Ah. I need to see this trend more.

3rd. The spray painted baby’s breath. Talk about a unique look! These florals were provided by Harper Floral. She’s done flowers from some other shoots I’ve shared, and does an incredible job!

4th. I feel like everyone should rent a cool car for a wedding exit or for bridals. It totally enhances the look and feel of the shoot, and then you get to drive it back after.

Anyways, this wedding shoot turned out so beautiful, especially thanks to the Bonneville Salt Flats and the gorgeous sunset that came through. Deep oranges and peach colors behind the mountain range made this night even more perfect.

Some tips for shooting at the Bonneville Salt Flats:

• There’s not always the best service, so plan ahead to meet at the Truck Stop with your photographer. From there, you can drive off into the flats. It’s very vast, so you probably want to avoid just dropping a random location pin and hope you find each other
• You can stay close to the truck stop or drive out for miles. I suggest the driving out part, as it can get a little crowded close to parking and then you have to photoshop people and cars out.
• Don’t miss the Truck Stop exit! If you do, you can’t turn around and get back to the stop for miles, which will majorly impact the lighting you’re going to get.
• While it looks white, it can get your clothes dirty! Just be aware and careful if you’re trying to keep a gown clean.
• Leave it cleaner than you found it. Lots of people will just leave trash.. or even couches.. just stranded. Keep it clean so others in the future have the opportunity to have free access to it!
